Emergency dentist in Leiden
Have you had a toothache or an accident? Then prompt help is important. A broken tooth, sudden toothache, or an infection always comes unexpectedly and often at the wrong time. At De Mond van Leiden, we understand how unpleasant this can be. That is why we do our best to assess and help patients with urgent complaints as quickly as possible, or to provide you with appropriate advice immediately.
When is it considered an emergency?
Contact us immediately if:
- severe toothache
- a chipped or broken tooth
- a knocked-out tooth
- swelling or inflammation in the mouth
- post-treatment bleeding
- an accident in which teeth or molars are damaged
Are you unsure if it is an emergency? Please always contact us. We are happy to think things through with you and provide immediate advice.
What can you do in an emergency?
- Broken tooth or molar: Keep the broken piece if possible and contact us immediately.
- Knocked-out tooth: Grasp the tooth by the crown (not by the root) and preferably keep the tooth in your mouth (under the tongue or in the cheek pouch) or in a cup of milk. Then contact us immediately.
- Swelling or inflammation: A swelling may indicate an inflammation that needs to be assessed quickly. Contact us as soon as possible for advice or treatment.
- Severe pain: Do not walk around with pain for too long. The sooner the cause is investigated, the sooner we can provide relief.
